1. Introduction
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the official Discord application and related integrations (“the Application”) operated by Headlight Studio in connection with the video game Backrooms: Extractions. By using the Application, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the Application.
2. Purpose
The Application is designed to enhance the community experience around Backrooms: Extractions by providing Discord users with features such as role assignment, game account verification, in-game rewards, or community notifications. Use of the Application is entirely optional and free of charge.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Application and comply with Discord’s Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.
4. Data and Privacy
The Application may access certain Discord user data (e.g., username, ID, server roles) as permitted by Discord’s API. No personal data is stored beyond what is necessary to operate the service. For detailed information on data processing, please refer to the Headlight Studio Privacy Policy.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Application to:
- Harass or harm other users;
- Exploit, copy, or redistribute the Application’s code or assets;
- Circumvent rate limits, security mechanisms, or API restrictions;
- Engage in any activity contrary to Discord’s policies or applicable laws.
Headlight Studio reserves the right to suspend or terminate access at any time for behavior violating these rules.
6. Intellectual Property
All content, code, and design elements of the Application are the exclusive property of Headlight Studio. Use of the Application does not grant you ownership or license rights to any intellectual property.
7. Liability
The Application is provided “as is” without any warranty. Headlight Studio shall not be held liable for any direct or indirect damages, including loss of data or account access, resulting from its use or unavailability.
8. Termination
You may revoke the Application’s access at any time via your Discord settings. Headlight Studio may discontinue the Application or restrict access without prior notice.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by French law. Any dispute shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tribunal de commerce de Montpellier (France).
